Well it depend on the light.

The old filament (or incandescent) bulbs are relatively expensive at £0.015 for an hour and the LED comes in at £0.002 . The table below also shows halogen and compact fluorescent bulbs. All bulbs are 100W equivalents giving 1600 lumins (we also give the the CO2 Emissions in the next column), this means they give out about the same light as the old 100w filament bulb, the one you used to burn your hand on because they waste so much energy as heat.
